Shirley Adubofour, M.A.

Shirley does not see obstacles as stopping points. She sees them as blueprints. Through her lived experiences and academic expertise, shaped by navigating spaces where she has been both represented and underrepresented, Shirley developed a unique perspective on access, opportunity, and success.

She holds a Master’s in International Education Policy Analysis from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Race & Ethnic Studies from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

Beyond her academic expertise, Shirley has learned how to understand unfamiliar environments, recognize systemic barriers, and develop the tools needed to thrive. Rather than allowing these experiences to limit her, Shirley transformed them into leverage for her success—a blueprint that continues to shape her work through ACCESS.

At the heart of Shirley’s philosophy is the belief that access is only the beginning. Getting through the door does not guarantee success; individuals also need the knowledge, mentorship, resources, and support to navigate the environments they enter and sustain their progress. Through ACCESS, Shirley draws on her academic expertise and lived experience to help individuals and institutions understand complex systems, navigate barriers, and create pathways for long-term success.
